ABOUT US
The Paisley Artscape Society (PAS) was formed in the spring of 2019 to support public art in Paisley. The non-profit group will enhance and further the development of public art in response to the branding of Paisley as the “Artistic River Village”. This initiative was part of the downtown revitalization program “Spruce The Bruce” developed by Bruce County.

Land acknowledgement
Today we acknowledge that we are meeting on aboriginal land that has been inhabited by Indigenous peoples from the beginning.
As settlers, we're grateful for the opportunity to meet here and we thank all the generations of people who have taken care of this land - for thousands of years.
Long before today, as we gather here, there have been aboriginal peoples who have been the stewards of this place
In particular, we acknowledge the Anishinabek Nation: The People of the Three Fires known as Ojibway, Odawa, and Pottawatomie Nations. And further give thanks to the Chippewas of Saugeen, and the Chippewas of Nawash, now known as the Saugeen Ojibway Nation.
We recognize and deeply appreciate their historic connection to this place.
We also recognize the contributions of the Historic Saugeen Métis, in shaping and strengthening this community.
