ABOUT

A series of heartwarming events unfolded to boost tourism post-COVID and before the bridge closing. Youth-led walking tours revealed hidden treasures, while a bridge closing ceremony bid farewell with grace. A community picnic brought everyone together, and a variety show celebrated local talents. The rhythmic beats of a dance night filled the air, and a placemaking workshop added a creative touch to public spaces. An affordable housing talk addressed community needs, and a friendly soup-off crowned a culinary champion. Meanwhile, a summer art camp inspired young minds. This project also led to the unveiling of a new mural in the town square.

As the beloved bridge connecting the heart of Paisley faced its last days before closure, the community gathered for a heartfelt closing ceremony. Poignant speeches, musical performances, and painting the bridge symbolized the town's appreciation for its history while embracing the winds of change.

Picnic at the palace

A delightful community picnic was organized alongside the river, where families, friends, and visitors savored homemade treats, participated in activities, and shared laughter. This gathering fostered a sense of togetherness and allowed new friendships to blossom amid the lush beauty of Paisley's natural surroundings.
